THIS MORNING'S CHORUS
This mornings’ chorus
was a shambles
Each bird just going for it
TUGBOAT
When I was small
I wanted to be the tugboat skipper
Steer the pilot boat
IN THE MIDDLE OF THE STREET
It wasn’t just the wheels that fell off
it was everything
And I was left there
KEEPING ME COMPANY
This happiness came from nowhere
not from this or that or from you
This happiness just hung around
NOTHING LEFT TO THINK
When I can’t get my head straight
When I’m over-thinking
When my thoughts disturb and interrupt
PLAYING HIDE-&-SEEK WITH THE PAST
Today those old memories
found me again
tracking me down
THIS PERFECT DISCONNECT
We measure ourselves by our intention
knowing we mean no harm
We measure others by their impact
SUCH DANGEROUS THINGS
There is a wee hole
in the lattice of my wellbeing
that intricate lacy scaffolding
